Airport Facility and Runway Information

The Door County Cherryland Airport is owned and maintained by the County of Door.  The Airport is situated on a 436-acre parcel located one mile west of the City of Sturgeon Bay along Park Road and County Highway C.  

The existing airfield configuration consists of two runways.  The primary runway is Runway 2/20.  Runway 10/28 serves as a secondary or crosswind runway.  Both runways have medium intensity runway lights (MIRL), four unit precision approach path indicators (PAPI), and runway end identification lights (REILS).  During inclement weather conditions pilots can choose from GPS approaches to runway 2, 20, 10 or 28.  

County staff, Tailwind Flight Center (FBO), Avis car rental and Grizzley Scenic Air Tours occupy the airport terminal.  

33 paved tie-downs, with additional apron space is available.  There are a total of 61 hangar buildings at the airport with sizes ranging from 42’ x 32’ to 100’ x 120’
